Janna Lopez, MFA

I love guiding people to discover the hidden in plain-sight super power of poetry…

AND, I love generating powerful outcomes well beyond norms or expectations.

I work with people from all over the world as an Executive Coach, workshop facilitator, keynote speaker, classroom educator, and published author. I successfully guide individuals and corporate leaders to achieve unimagined levels in their innovation-thinking and communication success through my proven, “Poetic Intelligence.” I’ve devised a revolutionary, entirely new thought-model, which once learned, quickly flips skepticism into awe. I’ve seen the powerful shifts in thinking and result outcomes by those who’d dared to explore a totally out-of-the-box construct.

In 2023, I was the Santa Fe Poet Laureate ambassador and conducted numerous workshops with hundreds of business owners, students, and City dignitaries. My innovative community-based programs were designed to integrate poetry into everyday life, and become more accessible and equitable. I presented poetry in various cultural contexts and at important City-wide events.

I’m an award-winning poetry, fiction, and essay writer, and my forthcoming book, "The Bypass to Brilliance," will be released fall of 2024. I’m a regular webinar hostess for BookBaby, one of the largest self-publishing companies in the country. Hundreds of people gather from all over the globe to listen, learn, and be inspired by my unique approach to finding writing freedom.

In 2021, I was recognized as Volunteer of the Year by the Hillsboro, Oregon Chamber School to Career program for my weekly writing workshops created for teen students during the pandemic. Award nominees are nominated based on the volunteer’s efforts to promote and model life-long learning as key to students’ future success.

I graduated summa cum laude with an MFA in creative writing from Pacific Northwest College of Art, an innovative program based on critical theory studies and writing as a means for equity and social justice.
